Injector has two different modes: Ripping and Injecting
Ripping rips your SFX CDs with the full BWAV Description with additional naming options.
Injecting is what make this app different from the rest. It's for people who ripped their CDs years ago but didn't name them properly and now want the advantages of newly ripped files with long BWAV description fields added in.
Injector will read the tracks in the selected folder (alphabetically), find the the matching description from selected TAB files and Inject the BWAV data into the file. It can also rename the file if wanted at the same time.
Adding your own TAB files:
The best way to edit TAB files is with MS Excel. To add your own tab file make sure your columns are in the order we read before you put the file into the Injector PRO TAB folder:
A-CD Number/Collection Name (ex. PE-17)
B-Track Number
C-Index Number
D-Description
E-Duration
Any other columns after are currently ignored
If you add any TABs to your collection, please email them to us to add to the install to share with other users.
Or if you are having problems adding a file send it to us to conform it to the Injector Standard for you.
We just added a new feature that writes the index times into the file.
So when you click on index 3 of a file that has been ripped as one file BaseHead will skip to that point in time and play it from there.
That feature will be enabled in BH 2.x and above.
The price is $199 (Codemeter CmStick USB Dongle needed).
One can be purchased with Injector if you need one.
Also, we write Two Licenses on each dongle so you can run 2 copies at one time, so you can have 2 PC's or Mac Ripping and Injecting at the same time!
FAQ:
What about ripping Indexes?
We put index markers inside the BWAV meta data in aXML format.
So if your file has 4 indexes it will tell BaseHead where to play from inside the file.
This way all the index descriptions pop up in BaseHead and when you click on Index 3 it jumps to that point in time to play it. If the Durations in the TAB file seem off, which many are, then the play points are all set to zero.
The reading feature is in BaseHead 2.0
You'll also able to adjust the playback regions in BH to adjust them if they are off also......8)
This way you'll get all the advantages of separate files without having a million spread all over the hard drive.
What is the the difference between the PC and the Mac Versions?
The only difference is the PC version can rip to file formats other than 44/16. The Mac version can Inject at higher sample and bit rate
Can I use the same CmStick License with both the PC and Mac versions?
Yes, you can and also run both licenses at the same time that are shipped on the dongle.
So you must be ready to start Ripping those SFX CD's and Injecting those files you ripped back in the day.
The Price for a Injector License is listed in the Store.
