Codemeter Setup Information

Install the Codemeter runtime software version 4.x on all systems first and when complete plug in the CmStick.
Note: If you are running Injector or Rehab you will also need the 3rd file in the list
"Codemeter.NET assembly"
When it's installed you'll see a little new icon in your system tray.
If you double click it will open the Control Center and at the bottom there is a button called WebAdmin for other tasks and stats.

Adding a License to an Existing CmStick:
If already have a CmStick and need to add a license to it, then you need to generate us a Context file and send it to us after you purchase your license.
All the info on how to do that is here

Once you receive an Update File from us follow these steps:

  • With Version 4 installed you can now easily just double click and run the update file that we send you to apply the new license to your CmStick.
  • You can check that it worked by going to the "Web admin" and click the "Licenses" Tab.

Steps to setting up Codemeter in a Network Enviroment

  • Check "Run Network server" on the the Machine with the Dongle from within the Web Admin under Configuration/Network.
  • After turning this on you should probably "Stop" and then "Restart" the Codemeter service from the Control Center.
  • Open the Codemeter Control center on both Machines and click on the "Events" tab to see the activity.
When you run a CM version on a client machine you should see activity on the Server machine if they can see each other.
  • If not you need to tell the Client Machines what IP to look for the dongle by getting the ip4 address of the Server and putting into the list on the Client machines.

This is all done from the Webadmin.
Go to Configuration/Network to enter the I.P. address in Server Search List if it's not finding the stick on the network automatically.
