Adding a License to an Existing CmStick:
If you already have a CmStick and need to add a license to it that you ordered, then you need to generate us a Context file and send it to us after you purchase your license.
All the info on how to do that is
here

Once you receive an Update File from us follow these steps:

  • With Version 4 or higher installed you can now easily just double click and run the update file that we send you to apply the new license to your CmStick.
  • You can check that it worked by going to the "Web admin" and click the "Licenses" Tab.

Steps to setting up Codemeter in a Network Environment

Video Clip Codemeter Setup in a Network Environment
a walk thru how to set up a dongle on a Windows Home server with a mac client connecting to it

Written Instructions:

  • Check "Run Network server" on the the Machine with the Dongle from within the Web Admin under Configuration/Network.
  • After turning this on you should probably "Stop" and then "Restart" the Codemeter service from the Control Center.
  • Open the Codemeter Control center on both Machines and click on the "Events" tab to see the activity.
When you run a CM version on a client machine you should see activity on the Server machine if they can see each other.
  • If not, you need to tell the Client Machines what I.P. to look for the dongle by getting the ip4 address of the Server and putting into the list on the Client machines.

This is all done from the Webadmin.
Go to Configuration/Network to enter the I.P. address in Server Search List if it's not finding the stick on the network automatically. Watching the above video is probably easier......8)
